We can now say...

we have another daughter!  We are SO very excited to accept a referral for an adorable little girl!  We'll call her Tiny Tot K.  Our agency has a waiting list so once our USCIS I-600A was approved we could choose a child or have our agency choose for us.  The list only had one girl so God made it an easy choice.  I would love to show you pictures, but you'll have to wait until we pass court in Ethiopia where she becomes legally our daughter.  Let's just say her name sounds great with our last name and the kids are glad they have a name and face to pray for now and not just "the girl in Ethiopia." 

She's currently 18 months old which makes her about a year younger than Jay.  I keep trying to look at her pictures and guess what she's like, what kind of personality she's going to have, how she's going to react to us, especially her older sister who talks non-stop, what it's going to be like to fix her hair and the list goes on. We can't wait to meet her, make her a Corbett, and bring her home! 

So does anyone else find dates significant?  Maybe prayers were answered for you on a specific date, things happened on that particular day to make it memorable, or maybe they just stand out in your head.  I do, always have.  So I was looking through her records to sign information and I was blown away when I saw the date of her actual approval to be adopted letter - it was our Anniversary date, June 10th.  Out of 365 days in the year, it was the same "day" (obviously different year) she became available for a mom and dad to love and nurture her.   A date where our two hearts became one.  One heart where God was leading us to adopt.  As we were beginning this journey around our 11th anniversary last year, eating our Pad Thai and Sushi and talking about the past and the future, God was at work orchestrating that future thousands of miles away.  Pretty cool, right?

The next step is getting all our documentation mailed off to the right people and then a court date will be set to make our first trip with the goal to go before their rainy season of August and September when the courts close. Oh and have I mentioned I LOVE our agencies!  They are always quick to respond, quick to encourage, and extremely helpful and on top of things.  YWAM and Children's House Int. you rock!
