David and I have lived in Raleigh (and surrounding areas) for most of our lives or as long as we can remember. Both sides of our family except my brother and his family live here. But you know what, we're excited! Excited about a new job
We knew a couple months ago that his current job would be temporary and meant for a new college graduate that still lived with his parents, but not for a family of 5 soon to be 6. Things were getting a little unsettling after none of the companies in Raleigh that he applied for were calling back. So we opened our search to other parts of NC and the US. Then one day as we were praying, I prayed that we would have a clear answer by Nov 15th. A little crazy I know, but doesn't God tell us to come before him with confidence in asking? I think David looked at me afterwards like I had lost all my marbles. So after 4 job interviews, one even on Nov 15th in Raleigh, it was made clear that we needed to take the job in Greensboro. As David was signing the offer letter we had received a week earlier, he looked up and said, "do you realize what the date is today?" I could barely get out a yes, because I knew that God had specifically answered that request I had prayed for and there we stood in Awe.
He will start work soon, living temporarily there and coming home twice a week. We have A LOT of unknowns and work to do getting our house on the market and figuring out where to live and schools for the kids. With most of our family here we will definitely be back many times to visit. As for the adoption, we've received our home study this week to review and are still waiting on fingerprints. Once we get those hopefully we'll be full speed ahead.
